Well here we are once again. Deja vu. When Mulroney rammed the GST through against the will of the people, his political party was wiped off the face of the earth. Seeing the writing on the wall, some of his MP's jumped ship as it was sinking claiming they were leaving the party because they opposed the GST.
Well we said it was going to happen and it has already started. Gordon Campbell doesn't give a rats a*s because he has his pay raise and his gold plated pension. He's retiring next year so he doesn't care what the voters want. However, not all of his MLA's are retiring. One MLA, Blair Lekstrom, has already jumped ship claiming the reason is because he disagrees with the HST in hopes to save his own political life.
Rats leaving a sinking ship. When will we ever learn. Take note Stephen Harper. The Federal Liberals might be down in the polls but if you persist in pushing the HST through federally, this too will happen to you. You will go down in history as the next Brian Mulroney who wiped his political party off the face of the earth.
