BC Rail Corruption Case begins to unravel. Or does it?

This case has been delayed, gagged and buried for years. I am skeptical the truth will ever come out since Gordo ordered four years of e-mail to be erased.

The subject of the inquiry is corruption in the privatization of public resources. Moya Greene's specialty. Obviously Moya Greene was not named in the BC Rail indictment but she was a key figure in the privatization of CN Rail which took over BC Rail.

It is of no surprise that privatization was drenched with insider trading and back room deals. It's not about socialism. It's about democracy and public accountability.

Look at the United States wonderful attempt of privatizing their energy - Enron. There hasn't been a bigger scandal in American Corporate history. After that scandal, Thomas White, the Enron book cooker was promoted to be the US Military book cooker.

Dare I cite Haliburton? Let me say this. My kid's school had a forum for Earth Day. In it they commented on how many corporations had become so powerful they had more money than world governments.

Can you imagine if corporations formed their own G8 and were given armies to enforce their global strategy? But they have. That's what Blackwater is all about. Buyer Beware.

How have we B.C.ers become so complacent? Why isn't there anyone uncovering the corruption in our political system? are we all afraid? Gordon Campbell says that if we give large corporations taxcuts they will eventually filter down to the average citizen, how stupid does he think we are? when was the last time you saw a corporation giving anything, other than what they had to, to their employees?
