An American Carol

Both movies present two logical extremes and fail to present the logical conclusion. Bill Maher’s movie Religulous is a satirical attack on all organized religion by a person who is agnostic. He doesn’t know which way is up and has nothing substantial to offer other then helping us laugh and look outside the box of orthodox conformity.

The other movie, An American Carol is a twisted spin on the Christmas Carol story where an apathetic American hating Michael Moore trying to ban the 4th of July is visited by the ghosts of America's past George Washington, Patton and one from the future a country singer? OK I guess we can see where this satire is going.

The bottom line of the second movie is to promote the Invasion of Iraq, which was based on a lie. They failed to mention that part. Painting Michael Moore as someone who hates America is somewhat bizarre and shallow. America is in a crisis of abandoning the ideals of the founding fathers they profit from exploiting. He is the one trying to save America not destroy it.
